KOMA – A PEOPLE IN NEED
“They were in gross darkness: poverty ravaged their land like locust. They were all naked: concealing their nudity with fresh leaves (denge) for the women and animal skin (bante) for the men.

Death and diseases were their kinsmen: while life begins at forty for the man in the outside world, theirs expires at forty, any extra is considered ‘unusual’. Nobody in the land was enlightened. All of them were in complete darkness. They are the Koma people”

The average temperature in Koma district is 78.6 f (about 25.5 c) and the nights are often very chilly. Children wander around and sleep where it pleases them. Be a part of our clothing drive for koma community.
